American Kestrel, Gnatcatcher, Eastern Meadowlark, Kingfishers, Warbler, Eastern Towhee, and more

With Anne I today and we had some amazing birds. Great Horned Owls and owlettes, warblers, towhee, kingfishers, and more. Great company and great birds.

Mockingbird - a pair gathering nesting material and a territorial meeting

I have seen so many Mockingbirds lately. Today was a first watching a pair fight and also watching a pair picking up nesting material.

Tree Swallows - April 28, 2013

You always know spring is on the way when you see the tree swallows in the fields. Today Anne and I were watching the swallows come to the ground to get nesting material.

The Great Horned Owl Family - April 28, 2013

What a thrill to see the owl family today. Many people were out to see the owls (many with children) and they were all very respectful of the owls. Both are flying and seem to be doing well. I was so happy to see both owlettes today with Anne I. Last three shots are 2nd owlette
